As my tourism work progresses more towards the landscape I have been exploring different methods of using multimedia to dispaly the work.
The Washington Post has this piece with images collated from various wire services on Dubai that they term multimedia but is really just a slideshow:
Time Magazine have a piece entitled Memories In the Landscape here that includesa voiceover which adds more information about the reasons behind the images. Whilst i am not a great fan of voiceovers the presentation works well here as the photographer is talking more about the issue at hand and less about how fantastic he mut be for producing such work ala certain others which shall remain nameless.
Tomoko Yamamoto has an interesting if slightly cliched approach entitled Water Songs and Water Landscapes. More information can be found at this site: Water Songs and Water Landscapes. The use of images to reinforce the intent of composers and poets is not especially new but interesting when most photographers aim to make use of music to augment their images in a vain aim to promote an emotive response in the viewer.
